Carbon neutral and energy conservation
Achieving carbon neutrality will continue to grow in importance when considering building solutions.
Through new products and by reducing our resource inputs, we’re expanding how we can contribute to CO2 reduction. For example, one way that we’re delivering energy efficiency is through our regenerative converter in which the elevator’s traction machine functions as a power generator under certain conditions. It transmits the power back to the distribution transformer which feeds into the electrical power network of the building, along with electricity from the power supply, enabling it to be effectively used as a supplementary power source for lighting, air conditioning, and other devices.
We also provide cutting-edge solutions to monitor energy consumption and energy optimization measures in buildings and continue to reduce waste through product renewal/reuse and repair of maintenance parts.
Safety & security
The continued pursuit of user safety and building security are paramount in smart building solutions.
Our products and services enable buildings to be used safely, securely and comfortably, not only during normal circumstances but also in the unlikely event of a disaster. We also remotely monitor building operating status 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, gathering data related to building operations and maintenance. By analyzing this accumulated data, we aim to prevent problems such as equipment failures, accidents and intrusion by unauthorized individuals. Safety and security go hand-in-hand with greater convenience.
Higher efficiency
With labor shortages an ongoing problem, the importance of systematization and efficiency in building management and operations is on the rise. One area that has attracted particular attention is the use of service robots for security, delivery, cleaning, and other tasks. To enable robots to take on the work formerly done by people, smart buildings must become a place where humans and robots can coexist safely.
We provide services that link robots with a building’s equipment and assist them in moving around the premises while taking human safety into consideration. Our solutions allow building owners and managers to utilize robots efficiently, contributing to labor savings and improved productivity.
It’s also essential that building equipment itself can notify managers of signs of abnormal operation, thereby preventing failures and increasing the efficiency of their work.
Well-being
Innovations in data collection and analytics, connectivity, and safety/security are enabling new, more personal user experiences in smart elevator systems. Facial recognition, access cards, or smartphone apps communicate user information to the system, which then learns users’ movement patterns and automatically dispatches elevators to wait when users arrive at their door and seamlessly transport them to their desired floor. Furthermore, by controlling air conditioning and lighting according to individual preferences, it is possible to create a comfortable environment for users.
Applying the field knowledge garnered from our extensive maintenance experience and accumulated data analysis of building equipment, we’re helping create building environments and urban spaces that all users find comfortable.
