Our Structure
The Michigan State AFL-CIO Public Employee Trust (The Trust) is a non-profit, tax-exempt, union-owned and supported organization that provides excellent insurance benefits at competitive prices to enrich union members’ quality of life. The Trust, a Voluntary Employee Benefit Association (VEBA), was formed in 1985 based on the concept of unions helping unions. The original founders were:

The Trust operates and owns MEBS, the Red A Benefit Group and Associated Mutual, a life and health insurance company.
